On Gratitude, Vulnerability, and Courage

I stumbled upon this podcast episode recently. It’s actually an older episode dated back to 2012, but when you have content this good, it is ALWAYS relevant. I already have deep respect for Brene Brown and her work, and have been changed by reading her books. This conversation with Jonathan Fields was both real, encouraging and inspiring. Certainly worth the time to listen.

A few of my favorite takeaways:

“Being courageous is more important to me, as a value, than succeeding.”

“I have no intake at all of any feedback or criticism from anyone who’s not in the arena.”

“Your ability to love others is in direct proportion to your ability to love yourself.”
